New York Open Gearing Up for Return in 2019

The inaugural New York Open brought professional tennis back to Long Island in exciting fashion earlier this year, and the ATP World Tour 250 tournament has announced its dates for next year. LI League Captain Recognized for Sportsmanship

USTA Eastern took the opportunity to recognize and celebrate several of its USTA Adult League captains at Eastern Night at a New York Empire match recently. The captains, who were selected from Regions throughout the Section, were honored for their sportsmanship at all times during League play. Representing Long Island at the July 15th NY Empire vs. Washington match was Deb Trimboli. Read More

Hofstra Summer Camp Adds Tennis for All

Campers at the Hofstra University Summer Camp tried something new this summer and had a blast doing it. For the first time, Hofstra’s head tennis counselor, Sunny Fishkind, introduced tennis to every camper in the program, not just the ones signed up for the tennis specialty. Read More

Boys High School Champs Spring 2018

Oyster Bay's Patrick Maloney won the Nassau HS singles championship and Jack Flores of Huntington was the singles champion in Suffolk, while in doubles, county champions were Eli Grossman & Preet Rajpal of Syosset (Nassau) and Andrew Lin & Sol Yoon of Commack (Suffolk). In team play, Syosset won its 4th straight championship. Read More
