New Fundraiser to Further Foundation’s Mission to Place AEDs on Youth Sports Fields
Forever 9-The Robbie Levine Foundation has announced that it will host its First Annual Golf, Tennis and Mah Jongg Outing this summer to raise money to further the organization’s mission of placing Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) on youth sports fields to save lives.
The new event joins the Foundation’s two other major fundraisers – the annual Robbie’s Run, which was held for the seventh time this past April, and the Dealing With Hearts Gala, which has been held four times.
Forever 9-The Robbie Levine Foundation was established in 2005 after the tragic death of nine-year-old Robbie Levine on the field during baseball practice. The organization’s goals are to raise awareness of sudden cardiac death and how AEDs save lives. The Robbie’s Run and the Dealing With Hearts Gala together raise thousands of dollars that have been used to supply youth sports organizations across the New York area with AEDs.

About Forever 9-The Robbie Levine Foundation
Forever 9-The Robbie Levine Foundation was started in 2005 after the tragic death of nine-year-old Robbie Levine, who collapsed and died on the baseball field during Little League practice. Had a defibrillator been available and accessible on the field, Robbie might have survived. Following this tragedy, Robbie’s parents, Jill and Dr. Craig Levine, put their energies into raising awareness of sudden cardiac arrest in children and the importance of defibrillators in saving lives. Forever 9’s goals are to educate the public about defibrillators and to ensure that these life-saving devices are available and accessible at every youth sporting event. The organization holds three fundraisers, the 5K Robbie’s Run race and walk in Merrick, NY, the Dealing With Hearts Gala and the Golf, Tennis and Mah Jongg Outing.
