The USTA Eastern Section recently sponsored a 'Train the Trainer' program at the BJK National Tennis Center in Flushing. This six-hour training event focused on the 'Orange Ball'  portion of the 10-and-under tennis initiative and was led by Kirk Anderson, USTA National Director of Coaching Education, and Jeff Rothstein, Eastern Section Education Director.  Each of the Section's Tennis Service Representatives was asked to invite influencial coaches to be trained and then return to their facilities to share their newly gained knowledge with their facility's staff.  With nine participants, the Long Island Region had the largest contingent of coach attendees.
