New York Tennis Expo to Bring Free Tennis Fun to LI

The New York Tennis Expo presented by Long Island Tennis Magazine is a free event coming to Long Island on Saturday, February 10th, 2018, compliments of USTA Eastern Net Generation.

The Expo, scheduled for Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., will be the lead-in to the New York Open, a new ATP World Tournament taking place at NYCB Live, Home of the Nassau Veteran's Memorial ColiseumThe New York Open debuts on Long Island this February 11-18 at the newly renovated state-of-the-art NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. This ATP World Tour 250 Series event is one of only 10 United States men’s professional tennis tournaments held on tour today, and the sole indoor championship in the country. Twenty eight of tennis’ most talented singles athletes and 16 of the best doubles teams will compete for over $700,000 in prize money.

The New York Tennis Expo will feature many fun and educational programs and activities for kids and adults including:

Interactive Seminars starting at 11am: 

-Session 1 – The Road to College Scholarships

-Session 2 – Taking Your Game to the Next Level

Take part in the New York Open Draw Ceremony which will take place during the Expo

Meet and get autographs from ATP Stars

Playing opportunities on stadium court used by the Pros

In addition, USTA Eastern will present its Net Generation program during the Tennis Expo and throughout the NY Open. Net Generation is the USTA’s youth (ages 5-18) tennis brand, dedicated to welcoming millions of new players to the game by focusing onempowerment, unity, and play. Through a comprehensive program of adaptable curricula, teaching and learning tools, promotional and communications materials, and player and provider incentives, Net Generation aims to capture the imagination of kids of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, and bring together parents, coaches, teachers, and volunteers all throughout the country. Net Generation provides a single registration platform for programs across the country and also requires all deliverers to have completed a background screen and an education program for working with minors.
